Microsoft Response Point

This morning at the Small Business Summit - Microsoft COO Kevin Turner announced Microsoft Response Point.

Response Point is an IP based phone system for small business, more detail on the product home page http://www.microsoft.com/responsepoint/default.mspx

I'm going to have a more detailed look over the next little while to see what it does and how it competes with the main paid and open source solutions like Vonexus and Asterix.

So heading over to youtube for a look at uncle Bill on the daily show and it was gone :-(.

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom International, Inc.

Did find this though which might be as cool, Uncle Bill vs that creepy other dude Steve.

Sometimes it feels like this...

Today's Dilbert Comic

Now I know the venue can only hold around 85 punters so perhaps I can practice on that number.

Remember NOT me speaking this month thats right MITCH DENNY doing Power Shell

AND if you are nice and fill lots of space this month I might get another special guest speaker for next month which of course will make it another David free month now it doesn't get much better than that J

Cool things with Power Shell

Presented by Mitch Denny

Mitch Denny—Senior Consultant for Readify & Monad Cult Member

Microsoft Windows PowerShell command line shell and scripting language helps IT Professionals achieve greater productivity. Using a new admin-focused scripting language, more than 130 standard command line tools, and consistent syntax and utilities, Windows PowerShell allows IT Professionals to more easily control system administration and accelerate automation. Windows PowerShell is easy to adopt, learn, and use, because it works with your existing IT infrastructure and existing script investments.

Mitch will present on the cool things you can do with PowerShell, so you may not learn to script but you will get an idea of the power of this new shell and scripting environment.

Also Jeff Alexander will be in town and will give a brief presentation about IT Pro Momentum. The IT PRO Momentum program is an invitation only effort designed to help the IT PRO customers accelerate their adoption and pilot of upcoming Microsoft Technologies. I am sending a flyer separately but come along and ask any questions you may have to Jeff on the night.

Session is on Tuesday 20th March 2007 starting at 17:30 for Pizza with the Presentations beginning at 18:00 finishing around 19:30.
